A corporate competency framework
based upon your organisation’s key requirements can form the basis for many strategic processes.

Within this framework each competency is broken down into detailed behavioural content for specific roles and/or levels. The process takes between four and fourteen weeks, depending on the size and scope of the project. During that time Human Factors' consultants utilise three main sources of information to develop your competency framework:

Analysis of existing documentation
This can include existing job descriptions, interview questions, performance appraisals, descriptions of corporate values and anything else that you believe will help us to understand the needs of your organisation.

Interviews with key individuals
These 90 minute interviews utilise techniques such as Critical Incident and Repertory Grid to help us to analyse the job requirements in your organisation.

Human Factors Competencies Database
Housing norms collected over the past 20 years, this database contains competency sets from a wide range of industries and roles, making it a suitable benchmarking tool for most companies and job roles.
By working closely with our clients we develop focused and user-friendly competency sets offering guidance on all future recruitment decisions.
