There are many different levels and complexities involved in developing and maintaining your organisation and people. Hence why at HFI we have used our knowledge and experience to develop this clear and simple structure that can be used to define and maintain your talent strategy. This is a practical approach to people strategy and we believe it can be used to enhance and build upon the success of your organisation.

The ‘Talent Accelerator’ will enable you to see all of the different services which we provide at HFI and also help you to gain a full and clear understanding of your organisation and people; and you can use this model to build upon your own business strategy and work towards exceeding your corporate goals.

So, what is a People Strategy? In its simplest form it is the answer to these three questions:

-    Where are we going and who do we need to get us there?
-    What is our current people strength and where are the gaps?
-    How can we bridge the gaps now and in the future?

The questions may be simple, but the answers rarely are. Each question has to be answered at the organisational, team and individual level to create a cohesive approach that is specific enough to provide guidance, yet flexible enough to cope with change. The answers at the organisational level create the context for asking the same questions at the team level. And the team level answers in turn create the context for asking the same questions at the individual level.
Business Needs - What does your business need to succeed?
Business Appraisal and Evaluation - How successful and effective is your organisation?
Development - How can you 'fill in the gaps' and develop your organisation further?
Having a cohesive People Strategy is vital to maintaining the success of any organisation; it is not only a question of selecting and recruiting the right people. It is also a matter of coaching and developing these people; and of creating systems and structures within which they can function efficiently and effectively.
